Our Mission

Behind every program we offer is the heart and vision of our founder, Annie.

Annie Koukoulis

For over 25 years, I worked as a special education teacher, dedicating my career to working exclusively with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I spent decades in self-contained classrooms and early intervention supporting individuals of all ages, learning firsthand the unique strengths and challenges that come with autism — and more importantly, the power of consistent, individualized support.

While I loved my work in the classroom and in early intervention, I began to realize there were so many critical services and supports families needed outside of school — things that weren’t being provided, but that could make a real difference in daily life. I knew I could do more.

That’s what inspired me to open my own business: to fill those gaps and provide meaningful, community-based services for children with autism and their families. My goal has always been to create something rooted in understanding, compassion, and real-world impact — something that goes beyond checklists and truly supports families where they are.

Supporting individuals with autism has never just been a job for me — it’s been my lifelong passion. This business is the next step in that journey.

Our Approach

The heart of Autism Connection is built on decades of real‑world experience and a deep understanding of what truly helps individuals with autism thrive.

From our founder’s 25+ years in classroom experience to the hands‑on, personalized approach we bring to every service, everything we do is rooted in compassion, practicality, and a commitment to supporting families in meaningful ways

Founded by a Teacher with 25+ Years of Experience

Our founder spent over two decades in the classroom exclusively serving individuals with autism — so every service we offer is built on real-life, hands-on experience.

Personalized, Not Cookie-Cutter

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every plan, activity, and interaction is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and their family.

We Bridge the Gap Between School and Home

We saw what was missing — so we built it. Our programs focus on real-world skills, independence, and family support outside the classroom.

Led by a Certified Special Education Teacher with a Master’s Degree

Education is in our DNA — and so is excellence. Our programs are designed with an educator’s insight and a family’s heart.

From community outings to daily life skills, we turn everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for growth.

Family-Focused Approach

We don’t just serve the child — we support the whole family. We’re here to help make life a little easier, a little smoother, and a lot more supported.

We’ve Seen What Works — And What Doesn’t

Because we’ve worked directly with hundreds of children with ASD, we bring proven strategies that are practical, compassionate, and effective.

We Think Outside the Classroom

Our services are offered in real-life settings — not just clinics — so children can generalize skills and feel successful where it matters most.
